Weiss was a high-end costume jewelry designer that worked with Swarovski and Christian Dior. Once screw back with Weiss clearly marked on the knob, I have sawed and filed this pair into a pierced earring with a stainless steel, hypoallergenic post. Some info about Weiss: '“Before Albert Weiss founded his own costume-jewelry company in 1942, he learned the tricks of the trade as a designer for Coro in the 1930s. Weiss excelled at floral and figural brooches and earrings—the company also made numerous styles of bracelets and necklaces.” The company hit its height in the 1940’s and 50’s, but was out of business by 1971. These register as crystal on my gem indicator reader, but I’m selling these as rhinestones because I’m new at this technology and I am leaving room for error. They prism like crystal, though.
