Vintage Rhinestone barrettes

Vintage Rhinestone barrettes
Sometimes, things are just kismet. Take these barrettes: I had my saw out to work on the chandelier rhinestone earrings, and found these rhinestone clip-ons I had acquired a while ago at an estate sale. I thought, what the hell. I’ll chop those next. I’m never going to wear them, but let’s see how they look on a barrette. Turns out, they look great. These are not replica rhinestone earrings, these are high-end, nicely constructed earrings that want to come out and sparkle again. Then I found a little bag of these topaz-colored ollllllldddddd glass stones from West Germany. Remember West German? No? Well, there really was such a thing once upon a time. Super tiny (the atones, not the country). Came way smaller than I thought. Pissed I bought them. Waste of money. But then, but then….together, they were magic and I love them. One of a kind. EVERYONE’S going to ask you about these. Length is an inch and a half on a metal alligator clip. Do not drop and take them out before you get into the shower. Promise! Once these are gone, they are gone. VAM-OOOOOSE!
