Diana

Diana

$90.00

Her name is synonymous in Latin with the words dium (“sky”) and dius (“daylight”), so it only makes sense that the variegated loop of ancient Roman glass beads begin with the lightest aqua blue and veer into a Coke bottle color, then a darker green hue and end in celadon. The beads are made from authentic glass from the Roman era that have been unearthed during archaeological digs in Northeastern Afghanistan. The area was once known as the Bactrian Kingdom (Bakhtar). They are rustic, earthy and quite ancient. Know anyone else with earrings made of 2,000 year old glass? Didn't think so. I was only able to get one hank of these beads. I doubt I'll ever see them again after they're gone. And I'm saving some for myself. :)
