Gold, turquoise and a touch of violet labradorite pendant
At a very nice size (52 carats), this oval stone moves flawlessly from a bronzy-gold to turquoise blue and has a touch of violet on the bottom rim. It is a deep stone, so the 3-D effect is outstanding. It looks like a birth of a star. I have not seen such a lively lot of labradorite than I have in this group I just acquired. Note that this stone has not been chemically treated to enhance color; is is the natural stone, and the photo was taken in nothing but sunlight without a filter and has not been touched-up. On a nice sterling oval-link chain, dipping longer than the past couple of pendants— I wanted this one to be bold and have a little more drama to it (to me it screams Jazz Age).
