This is my last piece of ancient Roman glass that came from the Israeli Antiquity Authority. It’s a compact piece of sea green glass that was once a jar— the wire slips right into the part of the rim that was folded over when the jar was made. On either side are pieces of Afghani ancient Roman glass in tones of deeper blues and aquas. It combines into a really stunning piece. I think what I liked about this little square of glass is that the sediment in the top part remains silvery with sediment. It’s so lovely. On a sterling silver oxidized chain with sterling silver lobster clasp. Eighteen inches in length. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Sad to see the last one go, but I know it will make someone’s holiday pretty special.
